Last Friday at the Letchworth Hall Hotel, Bim Afolami, the new MP for Hitchin and Harpenden spoke to a packed audience for the North Herts Conservatives Annual lunch.
Bim spoke about the Party needing to re-establish its support amongst younger people and amongst the 30-45 year old age groups.
Making more lower rented housing available was one of his themes, along with longer tenancy agreements, as we need to offer more options for people to get into housing.
Replying with a vote of thanks, Rt Hon Sir Oliver Heald QC MP, congratulated Bim on all he was doing for his constituents in Hitchin and Harpenden. Sir Oliver also congratulated the Prime Minister on her successful negotiations with the EU.
Following a lively question and answer session, the guests left in good spirits ready to help promote Conservative policies and ensure further good governance for the UK.
