Ian has been Association Chairman for the last three years and prior to that spent many years on the Association Management Team as well as being a former Honorary Treasurer.

He has been interested in politics from an early age and served as a North Hertfordshire District Councillor for 15 years; 12 of which he was the Cabinet member for Leisure. He was also responsible for IT for a number of years.

His background is a senior manager in the NHS and for the last 20 years has been running his own management consultancy company serving the health & social care sectors, with a specialism in all aspects of the criminal justice system.

He is married with two grown up children who both went to local schools.
